Support Neurodiverse Children and Transform their School Experience
Neurodivergent children benefit significantly from an option to stand in class but school funding is a major barrier.
How Companies can help local schools and significantly impact a neurodivergent child's education
Neurodiversity and education...the problem
15-20% of the UK's 10 million school children are estimated to be neurodivergent
Neurodiverse children have exceptional potential but can struggle to fulfil it due to mainstream education practices.
One of those practices is sitting in the classroom. Children with ADHD in particular struggle with this. They have to focus to sit still and therefore are not fully focused on what they are being taught.
This results in poorer academic outcomes, emotional difficulties and in turn an understandable resistance to their school experience.
For a lot of neurodiverse children this can be the start of a negative life journey.
This is an unnecessary waste of huge potential.
Neurodivergent students can be very quickly labelled as problem children and unwilling or unable to learn.
Neurodivergent children’s emotional wellbeing can suffer dramatically as a result of a negative school experience.
Neurodivergent children are estimated to account for over 90% of long term absences in education.
A Unique and Unexpected Solution
In 2016, Nick White (Founder) and his team started designing a classroom standing desk to help the significant inactivity crisis in children (which still exists).
What they didnât realise was the positive impacts it would have with neurodivergent children.
Giving these children the option to stand, fidget, produce vital neurochemicals and document their work has significant impacts on their learning outcomes and emotional wellbeing.
Today over 1000 UK schools use them helping multiple thousands of neurodivergent children with their education and future potential.
Testimonials
What our customers are saying
The children loved them and most wanted to try using them. It helped some of our more fidgety children to stay at their desks rather than roaming around. It was great for children to have the choice of how to work.Â
Jenny Stiff
St John's CE Primary School
We have found the EIGER standing desks extremely useful and would like to keep the ones we have had on trial. I would recommend the EIGER's to other schools.
Suzanne Owen
Oasis Academy Wamdon
We find the standing desks invaluable for providing another option for those children who truly find it difficult to stay still. They are easy to set up and manoeuvre, and work well in a busy classroom.

Funding Problem. Funding Solution.
Schools just do not have the funding to invest in the number of standing desks they would like to help all their neurodiverse children.
“Hi Nick, unfortunately this isn’t something we can consider at the moment due to financial restrictions.” Primary School Headteacher, Clitheroe.
“I would love at least 2 EIGER standing desks in every KS2 classroom. We currently only have 2 in the whole school with 400+ pupils.” Inclusion Leader. Primary School, Fareham.
Remember that 15-20% of a schoolâs headcount is estimated to be neurodiverse. In an average size school that means around 30 to 45 children.
In most cases they can only budget for single numbers of standing desks in the whole school.
We want to connect companies with local schools and potentially further afield to help them tax efficiently fund the much needed and wanted standing desks for their neurodiverse children.
